The OMPT-A is generally required for international students whose school diploma does not meet the mathematics requirement of a program in the Netherlands. The university you apply to specifies which module (A or a more advanced level) is needed; we clarify this together in the consultation.

The OMPT offers different modules; OMPT-A covers the foundational maths level needed for programs such as business and social sciences, while more advanced modules target engineering and quantitative-intensive programs. Which module you should study for depends on your target program's requirement.

Yes. The OMPT-A is an online, proctored exam and can be taken with flexible date options throughout the year. This flexibility makes it easier to plan the test around your own application timeline. We build the preparation plan around that date together.

The OMPT-A has 52 questions and lasts 120 minutes. It is online and proctored: you show your ID and room before starting and your webcam stays on throughout. That is about 2 minutes 20 seconds per question.

Numbers, algebra, linear formulas and equations, systems of linear equations, quadratic equations, functions, exponential functions and logarithms, and introductory differentiation. Integration, trigonometry and statistics are not in OMPT-A; they belong to modules B and C.

The pass mark is set by the university, not by the test, and varies by programme. It is usually stated in your offer letter or on the programme's admissions page. In preparation we aim for two mock results at least 10 points above that threshold.

The test is open all year; you pick the day and time. Results are reported quickly. Retakes are allowed, but each attempt is paid separately and must land before the university's deadline, so two full mocks should be above the threshold before the first attempt.

The university's admission condition says which. OMPT-A is for business, economics and social sciences; econometrics, data science, physics and engineering programmes usually require module B, C or D. If you are unsure, we read the condition together in the first call and build the plan around it.

Yes. Coaching can be taken alongside your tutoring or on its own. Your coach tracks your study routine and progress, updates the plan based on practice-test results and aligns your university application timeline with your lessons. We agree the scope, frequency and price together in the initial consultation.

Lesson days and times are arranged entirely around your schedule. Weekly lesson count is planned together in the consultation based on your target, level and time until the exam.
